In honor of Independence Day, we are holding our 4 Heros for the 4th workouts Thursday-Sunday. If you are in town, challenge yourself and come for all 4! Remember – the gym is CLOSED Thursday and we are heading to the park. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we have our “Sunday schedule” of 8am, 9am, and 10am.

4th of July Picnic and workout at Lake Needwood SHELTER A

We are hosting our annual summer picnic at Lake Needwood on Thursday, the 4th of July. All classes are cancelled at CrossFit Bethesda and Tough Temple CrossFit on Thursday July 4th, and both gyms will be closed (no open gym.) 

The day at Lake Needwood kicks off with our first hero WOD for the weekend, ‘Cody’ in honor of Cody Iorns. Cody loved life, as some of you may remember his smile and enthusiasm while working with Yav at CFB. He was an army field medic who lost his arms in a motorcycle accident and sadly passed last year while paddle boarding in the Chesapeake Bay. Physical activity challenged Cody and sparked a competitive spirit within him that helped him beat the odds – and we want you to come and use his workout to help you fight to meet your goals!

Following the workout, there will be lawn games, kayaking on the lake, and a BBQ. We provide the meat (and meat alternative), please bring your favorite side or dessert. We ask that you do not bring any alcohol to this one – lets save the drinks for the evening!
