I want to thank everyone at CrossFit Bethesda for giving me the opportunity to work with you all. We’ve had A LOT of good times at the gym and stuck together through so much as you have all opted to prioritize your health and fitness goals. Never stop!!
As many of you know, throughout my time working with you, my interest in movement and physical therapy has only intensified. I started taking some prerequisite courses at the beginning of 2020 (pre-covid), and I will be beginning my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in just a couple weeks with Tufts University. I can’t be more excited – and of course a little nervous to be a fulltime student once more.
Over the past year, I’ve been around but I’ve been working to hand over many of my gym responsibilities to the other coaches. They have been consistently stepping up, and I am confident in saying that 2022 is going to be an epic year at CFB! While I am stepping down from the CFB team and have sold my share of CFB to my partners (Jim Schleckser and Jeff Rogers), you will still see me at the gym with clients or hopping in for a class. Your coaching staff is hands down the best in the area, and everyone needs a good coach!
As I progress with my studies, I’ll be popping in from time to time. The program is a 2-year accelerated hybrid doctor of physical therapy program which means I’ll be living in the area and traveling to Boston for 10 days every other month. As a registered massage therapist, a CrossFit Level 3 coach, and a physical therapy student, I’m always happy to help you out with any movement troubles you may be having – so always feel free to send me an email or flag me down when you see me in the gym.
Thank you ALL for your commitment to your own fitness and health. I cannot overemphasize the importance of it. You have all continually inspired me to be a better coach and movement specialist, and I look forward to working with you and working out next to you in the years to come.
