CrossFit Bethesda is heading to the farm! Madison Fields needs help moving bales of hay and they need your muscles. 10 volunteers will be meeting at Madison Fields on February 27th from noon-1:30pm. Because of the 10 person cap, you MUST pre-register for the event.
Madison Fields is a project of Madison House Autism Foundation, a national non-profit organization based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. They are a community-based agricultural resource center where people of all abilities can access opportunities for job readiness training, education, recreation and healing. They are committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment where visitors can reconnect with themselves, one another, and the natural world. Their goal is to bridge the gap between those who are “on the edge of society” due to physical and cognitive differences and those of us who face less of these challenges in society.
This volunteer opportunity is to help move bales of hay to the main barn so therapeutic horses remain well fed. You can learn more about Madison Fields here and we look forward to helping them serve their mission!
